The latest addition to the PlayStation family is the PS5 Pro, set to launch on November 7, 2024.

This upgraded version of the PS5 boasts significant improvements over the regular PS5, including:

  • Enhanced Performance: The PS5 Pro features a custom-designed CPU with 67% more Compute Units and 28% faster memory than the original PS5. The GPU offers rendering speeds up to 45% faster.
  • Advanced Graphics: It includes AI upscaling technology called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), which enhances image clarity. The ray tracing capabilities are also 2-3 times more powerful, providing more dynamic reflections and refractions of light.
  • Game Boost: More than 8,500 backwards-compatible PS4 games are playable on the PS5 Pro, with improved performance and resolution.
  • Storage and Connectivity: The console comes with a 2TB SSD and supports Wi-Fi 7, VRR, and 8K gaming.

The PS5 Pro will be available for around $699.99. Preorders began on September 26, 2024.
